Scholarship
The Trooper Jeffrey S. Parola Foundation Awards will be awarded annually if suitable
candidates are found. The amount of each award will start at $200.00. The number
of awards will depend on the number of suitable candidates. These awards will be
sent directly to the award winners and do not need to be reported to the Financial
Aid Office. The funds will be awarded during the recipient’s second semester of
college. Schools and individual award recipients will be notified of the Foundation
Award winners by May 15.
Criteria for Award
- Must be a Maine resident pursuing a postsecondary education in the field of Law Enforcement.
- Must maintain an academic average of C or above.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation, on school letterhead, from the principal or guidance counselor.
- Must complete an essay of 300 words or less on: Why I Want to Enter the Field of Law Enforcement.
- Must complete the Trooper Jeffrey S. Parola Foundation Award Application.
- All applications and attachments must be submitted/postmarked by April 1.
