Jeffrey was a three-sport letter winner at Dexter Regional High School. He captained his varsity soccer team that won two Eastern Maine Championships.

He was a member of the 1985 State Championship Basketball Team; selected for the All-State Soccer Team and he was awarded a letter on the men’s soccer team at University of Maine, Farmington.

Jeffrey served as a Maine State Trooper for five years. During that time, he was with Troops J (Machias) and C (Skowhegan). He became a member of the Tactical Team and was in line to become a member of the Bomb Disposal Team.

Only days before his death, he received the department’s Award for Bravery. Jeffrey was twenty-seven years old when he died on the 13th of November, 1994. While responding to a Tactical Team call, his cruiser missed an intersection in Sidney. Jeffrey died while dutifully serving the citizens of Maine.
